Alabama football has another alum to reach a contract extension with an NFL team.
Trevon Diggs, a fast-rising cornerback in the National Football League, signed a massive contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network broke the news Tuesday as the Cowboys and Diggs agreed to a new deal.

Diggs gets a five-year extension worth $97 million. He becomes one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the league and gets a maximum value of $104 million. As a first-team All-Pro selection and Pro Bowler, Diggs will be in Dallas for the long term.

He got selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Diggs has 17 interceptions on 49 passes defended in three years.

He posted a league-high 11 interceptions in 2021.
