Steve Sarkisian revealed Monday he plans to call Nick Saban before the season and Texas’ matchup against Alabama during an interview on the Colin Cowherd on The Herd.
Cowherd asked Sarkisian if he would talk or call Saban before the game, and the former Crimson Tide offensive coordinator said he would probably do so before the season.
“Probably not the week of,” Sarkisian answered. “Maybe right before the season Iâll give him a call but maybe not the week of. Iâve got the utmost respect for him. Of course, I canât say it enough what he did for my career. We had some special moments and thatâs, I learned that from Pete (Carroll) a long time ago at SC, thereâs nothing better than competing with your friends and the people the respect the most. Weâll put forth a great week of preparation, weâll have a good plan and I have no question our guys are gonna go out and play hard. We got to play well enough to win.”
