Alabama football starts its first practice of fall camp Thursday to prepare for the season.

A former four-star wide receiver is no longer on the Crimson Tide’s roster. Thaiu Jones-Bell, a native Floridian, came into Alabama’s 2020 recruiting class. The 6-foot, 190-pounder was a playmaker at Miami Carol City High School, but he could not break through as a consistent contributor for the Tide. Jones-Bell played in 12 career games and totaled just four catches.
He was on Alabama’s 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship team and two Southeastern Conference Championship teams (2020, 2021). Jones-Bell wore No. 14 for the Crimson Tide; however, he is not on the roster.
