Last season didn’t end the way he wanted to, but this year Tua Tagovailoa is preparing to return in a big way in 2023.
This offseason, Tagovailoa has put an emphasis on improving his body by adding muscle as well as injury prevention which includes him learning jiu jitsu to soften his falls.
But it’s what his teammates see from his play on the field that has them excited as it rolls through training camp.
“He has that it factor, and we need that,” said Miami Dolphins safety Brandon Jones according to The Athletic. “He was balling last year, and I can see it in his eyes now, that feeling of unfinished business. He’s coming back with a vengeance.”
Despite missing four games due to concussions, Tagovailoa turned in a career year for the Dolphins passing for 3,548 yards, 25 touchdowns with just eight interceptions while completing 64.8 percent of his passes.
In a quarterback heavy conference the Dolphins are going to rely on the southpaw to turn things up another level this fall.
