Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. announced his commitment to Alabama on Friday.
Kirkpatrick Jr. is considered a three-star recruit on multiple recruiting sites. He is the Crimson Tide’s 18th 2024 commit.
The Alabama legacy chose the Tide over Auburn, Arkansas and Missouri. Alabama offered the rising senior last month.
“After the camp, I felt good,” Kirkpatrick Jr. told Touchdown Alabama. “I knew I did good in the camp. Coach Saban called me to his office, and he told me he would love for me to go to school there and play for him. I feel like it just gives me a boost. It gives me more confidence.”
The rising senior is projected to be a defensive back at the next level. At 6-foot and 190 pounds, he is a scrappy defender, who roams around the secondary, jumping at every opportunity to create a turnover.
