ESPN’s College Gameday host, Rece Davis feels Alabama football’s current roster is a year away from competing for a national title.
Davis joined Paul Finebaum on Monday, and he discussed how he feels the abundance of young talent on Alabama’s roster will impact the Tide’s season.
“They’ve got a ton of young talent,” Davis. “I think they might be a year away because they have a deep roster. But they have a lot of guys that haven’t played a lot who are going to be in key spots. If they can solve the quarterback issue or know who that is going into next year, they might be in a different position.”
The Tide have not named a starting quarterback with its first football game 13 days away. There are also question marks surrounding other key positions with young players in the mix to possibly play a significant role.
