Alabama CB Kool-Aid McKinstry lands NIL opportunity with Beats By Dre

He came to the University of Alabama with the coolest nickname on the roster, and his swagger has grown.

Ga’Quincy “Kool-Aid” McKinstry had his swag on display at Southeastern Conference Media Days in Nashville (Tenn.), but the junior cornerback is set to block out external noise with his newest NIL opportunity. The Birmingham (Ala.) native inked a partnership with Beats By Dre. He shared the accomplishment on his Instagram — joining his teammate, Jalen Milroe.

McKinstry is on several preseason All-America teams and award watch lists. He finished 2022 with 35 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack, an interception, and 15 pass breakups. McKinstry anticipates being a lockdown defender on the boundary, but he recognizes a potential first-round draft status in the making. He knows all eyes will be on him to frustrate wide receivers.
