Alabama players have heard the doubt and negativity about its team all offseason.
They have had to stomach the conversation of the University of Georgia being the ‘new standard’ of college football, but the Crimson Tide is ready to snatch it back. Nick Saban made new hires on his coaching staff, including two new coordinators.

Tommy Rees and Kevin Steele are all in on Alabama returning to grown-man football.
Both are about holding people accountable and restoring dominance to the Tide. Alabama’s had a productive fall camp, and one of its deepest units is excited about making opponents quit. Tyler Booker, a sophomore, explained on The Paul Finebaum Show what the Crimson Tide’s offensive line expects to do. The talented offensive guard has been vocal about physicality all summer.

“When you see that you made another man quit, you made another man give up, you made him get out of character … You know that you have so much power over him,” Booker said about Alabama’s mentality. “It gives you another mental boost. It’s like, ‘Oh, I have him.’ Between the lines, I own him every single play. That is what we are trying to get back to.”

The sheer toughness of an offensive line allowed the Tide to capture national championships in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2020. Booker feels this group has the ingredients to make a run at a national title in Houston, Texas. Alabama opens its season next week against Middle Tennesee State at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Booker and the line looks to impose its will all season.
