The University of Alabama football team will have an interesting look for Saturday’s game against Middle Tennessee State.

According to its game notes, the Crimson Tide will have both coordinators in the press box. Tommy Rees and Kevin Steele will call plays from upstairs at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Last year, the Tide had Bill O’Brien in the box for the offense and Pete Golding on the field for the defense. This could be the look for only the first matchup, but it may also be the strategy for the season.
Robert Bala and Joe Cox will be in the box as well. Bala joined Alabama in the spring as the new inside linebackers coach while Cox is in his second year with the Tide coaching tight ends. Robert Gillespie, Coleman Hutzler, Freddie Roach, Eric Wolford, Travaris Robinson, and Holmon Wiggins will be on the field.
