Last season the Million Dollar did not travel to Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium due to the seating arrangement Texas has set up for opposing teams. If the band was to attend it would’ve been placed in the high upper decks.

So on Saturday as the Longhorns make the commute to Bryant-Denny Stadium, the Crimson Tide will return the favor.

“We are able to reciprocate a similar seating arrangement to what we had last year in Austin,” Alabama athletics director Greg Byrne told The Tuscaloosa News this week.

Since Texas is not yet an official member of the SEC, Alabama doesn’t need to meet the conference requirement of at least 2,000 visiting tickets located in the lower level of the stadium. Instead, the Crimson Tide will be shipping all 5,000 visitors tickets to the upper decks.

Alabama is set to kickoff against Texas on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN.
