He took down one of his contemporaries in Sunday’s matchup between the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers.
Alabama fans watched its former signal-caller and 2017 national champion outperform Justin Herbert to the tune of 466 passing yards and three touchdown passes. Tagovailoa lifted the Dolphins to a 36-34 victory at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif.

Tagovailoa helped Tyreek Hill record 11 catches for 215 yards receiving and two scores. Miami was explosive throughout the game, and Tagovailoa’s output for passing yards is third all-time in NFL history for a week one matchup in the Super Bowl era.
