A pair of Alabama alums led the way on Thursday Night Football as Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver DeVonta Smith propelled their team to victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
What was a bit of a grind-it-out game for the most part saw some high-flying between Hurts and Smith.
At the start of the third quarter, the two got things rolling as Hurts tossed a 63-yard touchdown pass to the young star receiver which extended the Eagles’ lead to 20.
Smith finished the night with four receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown from Hurts.

Hurts completed the game completing 18-of-23 passes for 193 yards with one passing touchdown and one interception. But Hurts also got things done on the ground as he carried the ball 12 times for 35 yards along with a touchdown with the patented Eagles quarterback sneak at the goal line.
Former Alabama defensive back Josh Jobe also got the start against the Vikings where he recorded six total tackles.
Despite a late scare, the Eagles won the game with a final score of 34-28.
