He was one of the best edge rushers in the Nick Saban era at Alabama, but he is looking for a new home in the pros.
Rashaan Evans, a former first-round selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, had his contract for the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad terminated on Friday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the story as the 27-year-old looks for his fourth team in the league.
Rashaan Evans’ practice squad contract was terminated today by the Eagles at his request, per source. Evans has options from several other teams that he is currently considering.

Evans, a native of Auburn, Ala., played four years (2018-21) with the Tennessee Titans. The former All-American and first-team All-SEC selection in 2017 totaled 111 tackles for the Titans in 2019. He had a career-high 159 tackles in 2022 for the Atlanta Falcons while playing in a career-high 17 games. Evans came to the University of Alabama as a five-star recruit in 2014.

He played on two College Football Playoff National Championship teams in 2015 and 2017.
