Quinton “QB” Reese announced his commitment to Alabama football on Saturday night via Twitter.
Reese is a 2024 linebacker recruit out of Ramsay High School in Birmingham, Alabama, and he garners a three-star rating from most recruiting sites at the moment. He is the Crimson Tide’s 20th 2024 commit, and their ninth in-state pledge.
The senior chose the Tide over Tulane, South Alabama, Middle Tennessee and others. Alabama offered him in August have continued to build a relationship with him.
“I talk to them every other day, just be talking, just be chatting it up,” Reese recently told Touchdown Alabama. “Coach Bala gave me tips on what I need to do. Like last week, he watched my film. I played great, but he said I need to stop leaving my feet as much and stop trying to go for kill shots. He just been giving my tips and helping me out.”
At 6-foot and 210 pounds, Reese is one of the smoothest inside linebackers in coverage in the country. He drops back and moves like a veteran linebacker when defending the pass. Coaches have also praised his physicality and his ability to play sideline to sideline. He finished his junior season with 155 total tackles, 24 tackles for loss, four interceptions and five sacks.
