Alabama is a -6.5 point favorite over Mississippi for Saturday’s matchup at Bryant-Denny Stadium to open the Crimson Tide’s Southeastern Conference schedule.

Nick Saban has not seen his team establish an identity, but Alabama did show toughness in the second half to earn a 17-3 victory over South Florida.

Lane Kiffin is looking for his first win against Coach Saban; however, betting odds have Ole Miss as an underdog. The Rebels are 3-0 and coming off a 48-23 victory over Georgia Tech. Barrett Sallee, an analyst for CBS Sports, believes the Tide should be an underdog to the Rebels. Mississippi has looked better than Alabama thus far in its matchups.

The Tide held a players-only meeting, according to sophomore offensive lineman Tyler Booker, and guys got things off their chests. It seems like Alabama is ready to go on a run for the rest of the season, but we will see. An early season loss in 2015 helped propel the Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship.

It is time to see how this team responds more to adversity.
