Deion Sanders, and the Colorado Buffaloes are the talk of college football and deservedly so.
Sanders has the Buffaloes ranked in the AP Top 25 and sitting at 3-0 after winning only one game last season. The program’s turnaround is looking like the biggest story in the sports world at the moment. 60 Minutes sat down with Sanders recently and asked him who was the best coach in college football.
The NFL Hall of Famer responded by jokingly asking for a mirror, but he also paid respect to Nick Saban.
“But I tell you this. I love and I adore and I respect,” Sanders said. “Every time I do a commercial with coach Saban, it’s a gift just sitting in his presence and hearing him and throwing something else out there, so I could hear his viewpoint on it because he’s forgotten more things than I may ever accomplished. So, I am a student looking up to this wonderful teacher, saying just throw me a crumb of what you know.”
Saban and Alabama are gearing up for a home game against Ole Miss this weekend.
