Nick Saban raved about Alabama’s running back depth during fall camp, and he remains confident in the Tide’s backfield.
Alabama has mostly featured Jase McClellan and Roydell Williams at running back this season so far. With SEC play set to start this weekend against Ole Miss for Alabama, Saban was asked if the Tide will play more of its running backs moving forward.
“I think Jase and Roydell have played very, very well,” Saban answered. “Both guys. But I also have, we also have confidence in Jam and Justice. I think both of those guys will contribute at some point in time in the season pretty significantly. Because they’re both really good players and I think they’re both ready to play.”
Alabama’s deep running back room will have an opportunity to spin against Ole Miss this weekend in Tuscaloosa.
