He may not admit it, but Lane Kiffin sounds more like his former employer with each press conference.

The Ole Miss head coach has taken on Nick Saban’s mannerisms.

Kiffin has yet to defeat Saban as the Rebels’ head man since getting hired in 2020. He’s had competitive matchups against Alabama, but he has not achieved a signature win. SEC fans and media pundits see Saturday’s game as Kiffin’s best opportunity to beat Saban. The different radio and television personalities have the Rebels upsetting Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Coach Saban told ESPN’s Chris Low he does not know if the Tide has a ‘good enough team to beat Ole Miss.’

Kiffin’s response was “Don’t rat poison us.”

People took it in a joking manner, but Kiffin eyes a shot to join Kirby Smart, Jimbo Fisher, and Steve Sarkisian as the fourth former Saban assistant to beat him. He has his team on a big stage in Tuscaloosa (Ala.) as CBS has the call at 2:30 p.m. CT.
