Alabama offers nation’s No. 1 sophomore RB Savion Hiter

Savion Hiter reported an offer from Alabama football on Friday.

Hiter attends Woodberry Forest School in Virginia, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites at the moment. A couple of recruiting services have him listed as the nation’s No. 1 2026 running back prospect.

News of Hiter’s Alabama offer came from the Crimson Tide’s offensive line coach Eric Wolford.

“Coach Wolford talked to my head coach to offer me,” Hiter told Touchdown Alabama.”It’s been a dream of mine since as long as I can remember to earn an opportunity to be at Alabama, so it was wild but a dream come true.”

Nick Saban has been the head coach at the University of Alabama since 2007 which means most recruits do not remember a time when Saban was not the head coach of the Tide. Hiter is no different as his respect for the Alabama head coach is high.

“Coach Saban is a legend and the titles speak for themselves,” Hiter said.

Hiter is listed at 5-foot-11 and weighs 190 pounds. He holds 15 D1 offers, including offers from Georgia, Oregon, Ole Miss and others. The Virginia product runs the football with great balance and physicality. He rarely lets the first or one defender get him down.
