Jimbo Fisher gave some insight into how he believes Texas A&M has to defend Jalen Milroe during his weekly SEC coaches teleconference.
Milroe continues to improve as a passer as the season goes on. However, his athleticism, speed and ability to make plays on the run are what make him a dangerous threat and difficult to defend at this point in his development.
The Alabama quarterback has rushed for 189 yards and four touchdowns through five games.
Fisher believes the Aggies must keep Milroe in the pocket this weekend.
“This guy, when he takes off, you may never catch him,” Fisher said. “The whole thing is you have to keep him in the pocket when you rush him and not give him outlets.”
Texas A&M will have their shot at containing Milroe Saturday when the Aggies welcome the Crimson Tide to College Station. Kickoff for the matchup is set for 2:30 p.m.
