Nick Saban talked about challenging Alabama football’s players before this week’s game against Texas A&M during his Wednesday press conference.
The Crimson Tide will enter Saturday’s matchup with the Aggies with a record of 4-1. Saban has taken it upon himself to challenge Tide players this week to prioritize what they need to reach their full potential.
“Been pretty please with the way the players are sort of working this week and preparing for this game,” Saban said. “Sort of challenged them with what is really your priority to be the best player you can be? What is your priority to do what you need to do to help the team win? If that’s your priority, then that’s what you’re doing every day…It’s not always comfortable. Sometimes it’s hard. Sometimes you have to overcome adversity. So, you gotta kind of have to have the mental toughness to not let those things get you to back down and to continue to persevere. And I think the players have been doing a pretty good job of that so far this week.”
Alabama and Texas A&M will square off in College Station on Saturday.
