Alabama head coach Nick Saban had time to address reporters in Wednesday’s Southeastern Conference Coaches Teleconference before practice and before the post-practice presser.
He and the Crimson Tide earned a 40-17 victory over Mississippi State last week. Alabama now sets up for an SEC West showdown with Texas A&M inside Kyle Field at College Station, Texas. CBS will have the broadcast at 2:30 p.m. CT.

Jimbo Fisher is looking for his second win over Saban at Kyle Field.
Saban is in pursuit of his second SEC road victory, but he would like to do it with the return of two veteran players. He updated the status of Deontae Lawson (linebacker) and Terrence Ferguson II (offensive lineman). Both did not play versus the Bulldogs because of injuries. Lawson sustained an ankle issue against Ole Miss, and Ferguson suffered an injury versus the Rebels as well.
Both were ‘questionable’ for the matchup at Davis Wade Stadium; however, Saban brought positive news on Lawson and Ferguson for this week.
“Both guys are able to practice,” Saban said. “We probably won’t know how effective they will be for the game until later in the week.”
Lawson, a redshirt sophomore, has 26 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and two quarterback hurries. Ferguson, a redshirt sophomore, has versatility as a guard and center. He’s played in three games so far this season.
Jihaad Campbell replaced Lawson and Darrian Dalcourt replaced Ferguson last week.

Hopefully, both make strides in practice to be ready for the Aggies.
