As Alabama prepares to kickoff against Texas A&M on Saturday, one ESPN college football analyst believes the Crimson Tide are on upset alert.
College Gameday analyst Desmond Howard made an appearance on “First Take” on Friday as he declared that Nick Saban could suffer another loss at the hands of Jimbo Fisher.
“I like Alabama to be on upset alert simply because they’re on the road, and A&M, they always play them pretty tough,” Howard said. “The Aggies, they could have won last year in Tuscaloosa, and don’t forget, that was a game that Bryce Young did not play. And Jalen Milroe was the quarterback for Alabama and they almost lost in Tuscaloosa.

“Now Jalen Milroe, he has to go on the road to College Station and going up against this Aggies team that’s looking for a signature win.”
Last season Milroe completed last season Milroe completed 12-of-19 passes for 11 yards, three touchdowns and one interception against the Aggies. But Howard thinks that Texas &M’s defense will be able to shut down the mobile quarterback on Saturday.
“I think defensively, the Aggies should have enough athletes on defense that they can put a spy on Jalen Milroe, keep him in the pocket, and make him try to beat them with his arm as opposed to with his legs,” Howard added. “This is gonna be a great matchup. So if one of the two teams is gonna be on upset alert, Alabama or Georgia, I will pick Alabama because they’re on the road.”
Alabama kicks off against Texas A&M at 2:30 p.m. CT and will air on CBS.
