Alabama received some encouraging news ahead of its matchup with Texas A&M on Saturday.
It was reported by ESPN’s Chris Low and multiple other outlets that linebacker Deontae Lawson will be returning to the lineup against the Aggies after missing last week’s game against Mississippi State.
Turnovers will be big today in @AggieFootball–@AlabamaFTBL game. Tide have forced 8 turnovers in five games and Aggies just 3. Bama also getting back one of its most productive defenders in MLB Deontae Lawson, who’s expected to return after missing last week with an ankle injury.

Lawson had been dealing with an ankle injury two weeks ago during the Ole Miss game which caused him to miss the 38-17 win over the Bulldogs.
Earlier this week head coach Nick Saban shared that Lawson and offensive lineman Terrence Ferguson were able to practice.
Filling in for Lawson was Jihaad Campbell who recorded 14 tackles in his first career start alongside Trezmen Marshall who Saban believed had one of his best games last week.
Alabama is set to kickoff against Texas A&M at 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS.
