We saw a rare moment from DeVonta Smith, a former Alabama wide receiver, in Sunday’s matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Jets. Smith, a former Heisman Trophy winner, had a few tough drops in a 14-20 loss for the Eagles.

He held himself accountable during his postgame presser.
Smith kept things short and sweet by stating he needed to catch the ball. He did not give himself any slack and his desire to be great will put this performance behind him. Smith has made so many marquee plays in his college and pro career.

He will have a bounce-back performance, but it is good to see the accountability he held himself to after a bad game.
