Jalen Milroe is having a good season as a first-year starting quarterback for Alabama.

He has the Crimson Tide at 6-1 and in the driver’s seat for a Southeastern Conference Championship. The native Texan is preparing for a rivalry matchup Saturday against Tennessee. Milroe recorded a career-high for completions (21) and passing yards (321) with three touchdown passes versus Texas A&M in a 26-20 victory for Alabama. He has 16 total scores (five rushing touchdowns) to four interceptions. The Tide has its postseason aspirations in front of it, and Milroe’s growth has played a role.
The sophomore has been added to the Manning Award list.

The honor, which is named after Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning, goes to the top quarterback in college football by the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Mac Jones (2020) and Bryce Young (2021) are the Tide quarterbacks who have won the Manning Award since 2004.
