It is no secret Nick Saban and Deion Sanders are good friends as both have praised one another in recent weeks.
Saban discussed the NFL Hall of Famer and how he uses the Colorado Buffaloes’ recent loss to Stanford as a lesson during his interview Thursday on the “Pat McAfee Show.”
“I think the Colorado game was a great example of a little bit what happened to us last week,” Saban said. “G,et ahead 29-0 in a game. Guys lose their mental intensity, their focus and the game starts to change. The momentum swings and you can’t get it back, so you have to learn how to sustain and grind through it and continue to impose your will so you never lose that.”
Alabama defeated Arkansas as Saturday at home 24-21 after jumping out to a big lead in the first half.
McAfee asked Saban has he talked to Sanders this season after he made the statement about Colorado.
“I have not,” Saban said. “But he is a great friend, and I root for him all the time.”
