Alabama closed out Tennessee on Saturday without one of its starting defensive backs.
Terrion Arnold left the game and would not return to action and following the game head coach Nick Saban revealed what kept him out.
Saban said that Arnold suffered a “slight concussion” and did not pass the protocol needed to return to the game.
“Terrion has a slight concussion,” Saban said. “He didn’t clear protocol, so the thing that you do is not play the guy for safety reasons. Hopefully, in a few days, he’ll clear.”
Prior to leaving, Arnold recorded four tackles and one tackle for loss against the Volunteers.
Arnold was replaced by Trey Amos for the remainder of the game, who added one tackle and one pass breakup.
