He is about winning, but Nick Saban is more than that for this year’s Alabama team.
Saban returned to the victorious side of the rivalry between the Crimson Tide and Tennessee, coaching his group to a 34-20 victory at Bryant-Denny Stadium last week. In his postgame interview with Jenny Dell of CBS, he reiterated that he does not smoke cigars but he gladly took one from Dell to chew on. He said he’d chew on one for a while to relish the moment.

Jalen Milroe watched his head coach grab a cigar in laughter and could not contain his excitement.

He hilariously laughed to start his interview with Dell as he enjoyed seeing his coach with a victory cigar. This team has not been perfect, but Saban loves the challenge of teaching his teams to grow. He’s been able to relate to this bunch, and they are starting to understand more of what he wants from them. Alabama has an off week now, but it will be preparing for the LSU Tigers.
