Alabama offers Prattville sophomore DL Vodney Cleveland

Vodney Cleveland reported an offer from Alabama football after visiting the Crimson Tide to watch them take on Tennessee.

Cleveland is a product of Prattville High School in Alabama. He holds multiple SEC offers with offers from Auburn and Georgia to go along with his recent offer from Alabama.

The Crimson Tide’s defensive line coach Freddie Roach informed Cleveland of his offer from the Tide.

“He asked what was my top schools, and I told him Alabama was one of them,” Cleveland told Touchdown Alabama. “Then he said, ‘if I offered you right now, would Alabama be number one?’ I said yeah then he said, ‘well you’ve just been offered by Alabama.’ I was excited about it, but at the same time, I was just thankful and grateful for the opportunity and to be offered by Alabama.”

The sophomore went on to give his overall thoughts on the Alabama football program.

“I know Alabama football is a great place,” said Cleveland. “The atmosphere, the facilities and campus were nice, and I also know that Alabama football is going to better you as a football player on and off the field.”

At 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds, Cleveland takes on blocks extremely well and shows great pursuit of the football. He also flashes a quick get-off and an ability to use his hands with great efficiency.
