The University of Alabama football team had two players recognized for Southeastern Conference honors following a 34-20 victory over Tennessee last week.
Will Reichard (kicker) and Jihaad Campbell (linebacker) were honored by the SEC’s front office in Birmingham (Ala.) as SEC Players of the Week. Reichard, a graduated student, earned recognition for a second time this season on special teams.

Jihaad Campell, Co-Defensive Player of the Week
- Played a key role in shutting out the Vols after halftime while limiting UT to just 129 second-half yards
- Picked up a Joe Milton fumble and raced 24 yards for a touchdown to give UA a two-score lead late
- Also contributed 10 tackles, including one for loss (-4 yards)
Will Reichard, Special Teams Player of the Week
- Scored 10 points in a 34-20 come-from-behind victory over the Volunteers
- Connected on field goals of 42 and 50 yards while adding three PATs
- Kicked off seven times with five touchbacks and an average of 64.4 yards per boot
