Nick Saban discussed a potential missed call during Alabama’s win over Tennessee Monday and what is done after the referees miss a call.
Alabama took down Tennessee 34-20 in an SEC matchup on Saturday. Saban was asked about the potential missed call when Alabama running back, Roydell Williams took a hit to the head when Tennessee’s linebacker, Elijah Herring, came in late at the end of a play.
Saban was asked about the situation Monday when taking to media members.
“I haven’t talked to the SEC about it,” Saban said. “Basically, the protocol for what we do, and this is to help officials. It’s not to complain, is okay, here’s some things we just want an explanation of why it was called and why it wasn’t. They do a pretty good job. They review the film. They give you a written explanation of why it was called, why it wasn’t called. We’ll give that from that play, just like other plays.”
Alabama is on a BYE week and will return to action next week.
