A Heisman Trophy candidate travels to Bryant-Denny Stadium next week to face Alabama football.
Jayden Daniels, a former Arizona State transfer, is in his second season at Louisiana State University. He has been one of the most explosive quarterbacks in college football and the most explosive one in the Southeastern Conference. Daniels enters the matchup second in the nation for quarterback rating (92.6) and has 30 total touchdowns to three interceptions. He led the Tigers to a thrilling overtime victory over Alabama in 2022 at Tiger Stadium. Daniels posted 182 passing yards, 95 rushing yards, and three scores in a 32-31 win over the Crimson Tide. LSU captured the SEC West and played Georgia for a conference title.

Alabama players remembered the second loss that sent it to the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
The focus during a bye week has been fine-tuning the little things.
Dallas Turner, a junior outside linebacker, knows the disappointment from last year’s meeting. He shared with Crimson Tide reporters the most significant key for the Tide to handle Daniels and the Tigers. A victory for Alabama wins the SEC West.
“Jayden Daniels is a very good quarterback,” Turner said.
“They (LSU) have very good receivers and a solid offensive line. It is very exciting, and it’s going to be a preparation week for us as a defense. We have to be on the same page, but it is going to be an exciting matchup for us.”
Turner, who is in conversations to be an All-American, is one of the nation’s top pass rushers.
He leads Alabama with seven, 10.5 tackles for loss, and 10 quarterback hurries. Turner also has two forced fumbles.
We will see if the Tide can remain on the same page throughout next week.
