Steve Spurrier reveals true thoughts about Alabama this season

Former SEC head coach and Heisman Trophy winner, Steve Spurrier spilled his feelings about this year’s Alabama team.

Spurrier was a guest on the Paul Finebaum Show earlier this week, and he talked about the Crimson Tide’s ability to win games that are tight.

“They’re gonna play a lot of close games,” Steve Spurrier said. “They’re not as explosive as they have been in the past. DeVonta, all those guys, Heisman Trophy winners. They’re gonna play close games but Alabama knows how to win close games.”

The ol’ Ball Coach also previewed Alabama’s matchup against LSU next weekend as he believes the rest of the Tide’s season could go either way.

“I think the LSU-Alabama game’s gonna determine a lot,” said Spurrier. “Last year, they only lost two games. LSU, the two-point play, and Tennessee hit a knuckleball field goal to beat them. So, those guys are good. They’re good. They’re capable of winning every game and if something happens bad, maybe somebody could beat them also.”
