Jalen Hurts has the Philadelphia Eagles poised for a Super Bowl return this season.
The former Alabama quarterback put on a show in the passing game during Sunday’s matchup against the Washington Commanders. In a marquee divisional game, Hurts had four touchdown passes and no turnovers in a 38-31 victory. He completed 29 of 38 passes for 319 yards. Hurts assisted wide receiver A.J. Brown to a massive performance.
The talented playmaker models his game after Julio Jones and had a Jones-like outing. Brown caught eight passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
Hurts also found DeVonta Smith seven times for 99 yards receiving and a touchdown. Jones caught one pass from Hurts for an 8-yard score. The two were not teammates at Alabama, but Crimson Tide fans enjoyed one Tide legend finding the other for a touchdown. Hurts has gotten so much better as a passer since entering the league in 2020.
He has the Eagles at 7-1 and on pace to win the NFC East again. The former second round pick wants a Vince Lombardi Trophy.
