Louisiana State University could lock up the SEC West with a victory over Alabama football, but are the Tigers in trouble on the injury front?

Brian Kelly, LSU’s head coach, updated reporters Monday on several injuries. Four defensive players — Mehki Wingo, Zy Alexander, Denver Harris, and Duce Chestnut — will not play Saturday against the Crimson Tide. Wingo, a defensive tackle, is out for six weeks after recovering from surgery. The junior has 22 tackles, three tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and a quarterback hurry.

Alexander, a cornerback, leads the secondary with seven pass breakups.

He has two interceptions to go with 44 tackles. Harris and Chestnut provide depth in the secondary, despite both not having much production this season. The injuries come at a bad time for the Tigers as Alabama looks to show the college football world it has an explosive offense too. LSU has to limit Jalen Milroe and the Crimson Tide from making marquee plays.
