The Alabama passing attack has been a work in progress all season long and is continuing to add new wrinkles to the offense.
One way of expanding is adding different players into the mix, which head coach Nick Saban has done in the receiving room. In the Crimson Tide’s last game against Tennessee, the offense played six different wide receivers, one of which was sophomore Kendrick Law.
Law, who had made appearances in prior games, made his largest impact on the year catching two passes for 38 yards and a 21-yard kick return on special teams.

It’s clear that Law brings a bit different of a style to the offense, which is why Saban and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees are continuing to work on his role on Saturdays.
“K-Law is really a great competitor, really tough, physical guy,” Saban said. “He is a little different than some of our other receivers, so he does have a role to play and does a really good job of that. He’s a great special teams player. Really good team guy, hard worker. So I think we’ll try to always have roles for him to play in the game that benefit his skillset and complement the other guys that we’ve got.”
One way Rees got creative with Law during the win over the Volunteers was the first offensive play of the second quarter where quarterback Jalen Milroe sent a pop pass to the Shreveport, La. native for 34 yards.
More action like this could be in store for Law especially if it helps Alabama get off to better first-half starts.
Alabama will host LSU this Saturday at 6:45 p.m. inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
