Steve Sarkisian believes the Texas Longhorns have the best win in college football after defeating Alabama earlier in the season.
The Longhorns came to Tuscaloosa in September and picked up a 34-24 win.
The Crimson Tide have not lost since and are undefeated in the SEC. Sarkisian sees this as a sign the Longhorns belong in the College Football Playoff conversation ahead of the first rankings of the season.
“I’ve shied away from this,” Sarkisian said. “I’d argue we have the best win in the country right now. The fact that we go into Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and beat a team that was 52-1 in the previous 53 games of us going in there…I hear so much about how tough the SEC is, but I haven’t seen any of those teams go in Alabama and win, either, so I feel pretty good about our team.”
The first College Football Playoff rankings will be released Tuesday, Oct. 31.
