Jalen Milroe will have the college football world in his hands Saturday for Alabama’s matchup against LSU.
He goes head-to-head against a Heisman Trophy contender — Jayden Daniels — but the Crimson Tide’s quarterback is determined to prove he’s a marquee playmaker as well. Tide fans look to pack out Bryant-Denny Stadium as CBS has the broadcast for an SEC Western Division showdown in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Milroe, a sophomore, has improved each week in the passing game. He has 13 scoring tosses, including 10 coming on throws of 20+ yards. Milroe has mastered taking deep shots on opposing defensive secondaries; however, it’s his average yards per pass attempt that’s made him one of the best this season.

Brian Kelly, the Tigers’ head coach, told reporters Tuesday that LSU has three defensive backs out for the Alabama game — including cornerback Zy Alexander. Alexander leads the team for pass breakups (seven) and has an interception.
Milroe could have a monster performance against the Tigers if he has time to throw.
