Hezekiah Harris is returning to Tuscaloosa this weekend to visit the Alabama Crimson Tide for the second time this season.
Harris is a four-star recruit, who is considered the No. 1 edge in the 2026 recruiting class by multiple recruiting sites. He attends Mae Jemison High School in Huntsville, Alabama.
Nick Saban offered Harris in June after he participated in camp. Alabama’s staff is starting to build their relationship with the in-state prospect.
“I love their staff,” Harris told Touchdown Alabama. “I have a great relationship with coach Hutzler and coach Roach. I feel like they are making me a priority in the 26 class.”
At 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds, Harris fits the build for what Alabama goes after in an outside linebacker. This makes it easy for him to picture himself suiting up for the Tide in the future and providing pressure off the edge while making tackles in a variety of ways to stop the run.
“It’s the right fit,” Harris said. “We run a similar defensive front here. They are letting Dallas (Turner) and (Chris) Braswell rush the passer.”
The Alabama target has stood out this season for the Jaguars. He has used his length and long arms to get by offensive linemen and has looked good tracking the football in space.
“I feel like I’ve had a pretty good season so far,” said Harris. “I’m an elite pass rusher that’s good against the run also.”

Harris also holds offers from Florida State, Tennessee, South Carolina and others. Alabama looks to be off to a strong start during the early stages of Harris’ recruitment.
