Alabama CB wants Crimson Tide fans to have big energy for LSU

Alabama football has a marquee matchup on Saturday to control the SEC Western Division against Louisiana State University.

The Crimson Tide saw its fan base support in a significant way versus Tennessee at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The fans made it hard for the Volunteers to have success on offense, especially in the second half. Alabama shut out Tennessee in the second half, and its fans caused Joe Milton to be uncomfortable.

Ga’Quincy “Kool-Aid” McKinstry, a junior cornerback, wants the same energy if not more from the fans versus the Tigers. He loved what he saw from the crowd against the Vols.

“I’m excited about how they were against Tennessee,” McKinstry said about the crowd noise. “I feel like need the same energy if not more for this game. We need the fans to be there. We are excited to have fans at our game. It is to our advantage to have a crowd on our side.”

McKinstry is a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, which goes to the nation’s top defensive back in college football. He is calling on the fans to help him be at his best against a talented LSU offense.
