ESPN analyst has a bold prediction for Alabama QB Jalen Milroe versus LSU

Jalen Milroe was a long shot to be the starting quarterback for the University of Alabama in the summer, but he has made a believer out of several critics and fans.

He has the Crimson Tide in position to win the SEC Western Division if he puts on a show against Louisiana State University at Bryant-Denny Stadium at 6:45 p.m. CT. All eyes will be on the redshirt sophomore as he competes against a Heisman Trophy contender. LSU has several players out on defense — including three cornerbacks — and Milroe could have a career game passing and running the football. He has 18 total touchdowns on the year, especially 13 as a passer. Pat McAfee, an analyst for ESPN’s College GameDay, made a bold prediction for Milroe during the pregame show in Tuscaloosa (Ala.) before tonight’s matchup.

McAfee has Alabama winning the game, but he also has Milroe having a dominant performance.

“Give me Jalen Milroe propelling himself into the Heisman conversation,” McAfee said to the roar of Alabama fans.

“All you are going to hear at the end of this thing is Roll Tide Roll!”

Milroe has one 300-yard passing game this season versus Texas A&M, but is he capable of another one? McAfee believes he is against LSU. A marquee showing from Milroe will create a Heisman campaign for him in the eyes of voters and fans across the college football landscape. He tends to play his best on the biggest stages and tough competition. LSU presents him with both.
