The University of Alabama football team does not have a player in the Heisman Trophy conversation, but a name is now being tossed into the mix after his performance versus Louisiana State University.
Jalen Milroe, a sophomore, did not disappoint Crimson Tide fans at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

He put on a show, especially with his athleticism in a 42-28 victory for the Tide over the Tigers. Milroe totaled 219 passing yards, 155 rushing yards, and became the first quarterback in school history to have four rushing touchdowns in a game. He earned Offensive Player of the Week honors from the Southeastern Conference and is in the running for the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award as a semifinalist. Milroe is starting to garner some attention for Heisman consideration; however, what are the odds he will win the coveted bronze award? According to betting odds in Las Vegas, he has the twelfth-best odds to win.
Names such as Caleb Williams, Michael Penix Jr., Bo Nix, and Jayden Daniels are ahead of Milroe. He has a chance to increase his odds if he turns in a few more complete performances. Milroe stands with 22 total touchdowns, including 13 passing scores.
He has gotten better each week, but there are still areas of improvement for Milroe.
