Alabama football’s starting punter James Burnip was named a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award on Friday.
The award is given annually to the best punter in college football. Burnip is averaging 48.2 yards a punt this season. He has a long of 67 yards.
The Australia native has punted the ball for 50 plus yards 16 times and has nailed 14 punts inside the 20. He has six touchbacks.
