Alabama was already going into Saturday’s game against Kentucky slightly hindered on the defensive side of the ball, but now it could be without one of its biggest playmakers on offense.

When speaking with the Crimson Tide Sports Network prior to kickoff against the Wildcats, head coach Nick Saban shared that wide receiver Jermaine Burton could be held out of the game due to an illness.

Burton is Alabama’s leading receiver on the year as he’s caught 26 passes for 537 yards and five touchdowns and is responsible for some of the biggest plays of the season through the air. He now joins fellow wide receiver Ja’Corey Brooks on the injured list who has been dealing with a shoulder issue throughout the season.

Alabama is set to kick off against Kentucky at 11 a.m. with ESPN on the call.
