Alabama football’s outside linebacker, Dallas Turner was announced as a semifinalist for the Bednarik Award on Monday Morning.
The award is given annually to the best defensive player in college football. Past winners at Alabama include Jonathan Allen, Minkah Fitzpatrick and Will Anderson. The finalists for both awards will be named on Nov. 28, and the winner of the award will be announced on Dec. 4.
Turner has been a consistent force in defense for Alabama this season. He leads the Tide in tackles for loss with 10.5, and he has seven sacks on the season.
The Florida native will look to continue his success on the field against Chattanooga Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
