Alabama football’s starting quarterback Jalen Milroe was named a semifinalist for the Davey O’Brien Award on Tuesday.
The award is announced annually and is given to the nation’s top quarterback. Two Alabama quarterbacks have won the award. Mac Jones won it in 2020, and Bryce Young earned the award the following year.
Milroe has come up big for the Crimson Tide in recent weeks. He had one of the most impressive performances of his career against Kentucky last Saturday when he threw for three passing touchdowns and ran in three more. The Texas product has thrown for 2,070 yards and 16 touchdowns this season.
The Alabama quarterback will look to continue to remain hot against Chattanooga Saturday at home.
