The Tide’s offensive front returned this week by allowing one sack versus Chattanooga. Nick Saban watched this group protect Milroe to complete 13 of 16 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns. He also witnessed the unit clear the way for 315 rushing yards and five touchdowns in a 66-10 victory over the Mocs. Jase McClellan, Roydell Williams, Justice Haynes, and Richard Young all had at least one rushing touchdown. Jam Miller, a sophomore, posted 77 yards rushing on six carries. Alabama has gotten better each week on the offensive line since going to Jaeden Roberts, a sophomore, at left guard versus Texas A&M.
Coach Wolford has this offensive line playing with balance and confidence.
Seth McLaughlin has cleaned up the early season snapping issues, and everyone else around him is playing well. Alabama’s front must be the enforcer next week at Jordan-Hare Stadium in the Iron Bowl versus Auburn.
