Could we have a situation where Alabama’s early season loss to Texas keeps it out of the College Football Playoff?
Alabama football has yet to move from its No. 8 spot in the rankings.

This is not the same Crimson Tide team that lost to the Longhorns in week two, but the CFP Committee continues to hold the head-to-head against the Tide. The Crimson Tide faces Auburn on Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium for the Iron Bowl.
After dominating Chattanooga, Alabama needs to make light work of the Tigers on the road. The Tide has another statement matchup where style points could sway the committee. Alabama has looked much better since the loss, especially in the last few weeks against LSU, Kentucky, and Chattanooga. Chaos could still happen as rivalry weekend presents us with marquee games.
Tide fans reacted on Twitter to its team not moving again in the CFP rankings.

The committee is trying their hardest not to let Alabama in :/

It’s obvious the committee doesn’t want Bama in the playoffs. If Bama wins out and teams lose ahead of them, they’ll find a reason to keep them out.
