Nick Saban detailed in Wednesday’s “Hey Coach” show what has made him the most proud of his quarterback.
”[He’s] transformed into being a very positive player run and pass, and leadership on the field, which I think has impacted everybody in a positive way, as well,” Saban said about Milroe.
The sophomore has two acronyms that turned Alabama’s season around after a loss to Texas: F.A.M.I.L.Y. and L.A.N.K. FAMILY, or Forget About Me, I Love You, helped Milroe become a leader when he was benched against South Florida.
He supported Tyler Buchner and Ty Simpson in the Crimson Tide’s 17-3 victory. Milroe’s leadership earned him the starting job back. LANK, or Let All Naysayers Know, became the motto for this team after the Texas loss. Alabama has been proving doubters wrong to surge into one of the best teams in the nation. Milroe has been outstanding as a leader, and now he takes an opportunity to lead his team in the Iron Bowl.
